Historical dynamics of divine wisdom in the Russian opera of the ХIХ century

Russian opera of the XIXth century is represented in this article as a process of the national selfconsciousness development (aspect is as relevant, as not-so-developed in the music studies). The sequencing of the harmonic and crisis types of the musical concept is regarded by the author through the prism of the male and female, which has historically expressed connotation of the divine wisdom. It is shown that this process, which reflects the general cultural situation in Russia in the XIX century, is in the direct connection with the problem of the personal spirituality, fully developed by the Russian religious thought and sequentially personified in the Russian opera.

Historical context of vocal interpretation

 The article highlights the relevance of studying the performing interpretation of the classical vocal repertoire for the science and practice of teaching singers. In connection with the «obsolescence» of intonational stylistics, the problem of the dynamics of vocal intonation in a historical context is considered. The concert performance of opera fragments and chamber vocal music reflects speech traditions, the characteristic features of speech in drama theater and cinema. The problem statement is illustrated by the analysis of intonation styles by A. Vertinskiy and B. Okudzhava, as well as by performing versions of S. Rachmaninov’s lied «Don’t sing, the beauty it with me».

This article discusses the issues of performing interpretation in terms of semiotics of musical content. The variant multiplicity of the work is a consequence of the dialectical interaction of stable and mobile elements in any interpretation. On the example of the First part of the Sonata a-moll for flute solo by F.E. Bach, the author of the article analyzes the influence of stable elements in the form of rhetorical figures on the formation of figurative content that is adequate to the composer’s intent.

Bayan art in the pop-jazz style

The article is devoted to the study of academic bayan art in the aspect of pop and jazz style. Bayan art is embodied at a new level in the popular sphere, but accommodating a self-sufficient artistic effect of embodying the ensemble-jazz qualities of the sound. Bayan expansion in jazz is a creative precedent for composers who seek to update the timbre-texture characteristics of the instrument and for performers who are aware of the primary theatricality of the jazz style of playing.

Biographies and autobiographies of rock musicians as the phenomenon of culture

The article considers biographies of rock musicians as a special segment of the set of texts created within the biographical genre. By means of structural and functional analysis applied to texts, the predominant narrative lines in rock biographies are highlighted. These are narratives of deviations, excessive sexuality, revolt, talent and success, as well as a narrative of permanent creativity. The interweaving of these types of narrative contributes to the formation of harmonization and the elimination of conflict between the subject and the historical and cultural process.

Revival of art performance on traditional chinese wind instrument bamboo di

The revival of interest in Chinese traditional wind instruments initiated the restoration of instrument manufacturing, the development of northern and southern performing schools on bamboo di. The article touches on the role of outstanding representatives of the musical culture of China in the second half of the 20th century, among them Feng Zitsun, Liu Guangyue, Kun Jianhua, Wang Techui, Liu Seng, Lu Chunlin and Zhao Sunting and hypothesizes that the poetics of the instrument are still fully disclosed least.

The 3rd guild merchant Pyotr Krivonosov as the bandmaster of the Black sea Cossack army music choir (from archive materials)

Based on archival materials, the article analyzes the circumstances that preceded the approval in 1844 by the head of the orchestra of the Black Sea Cossack army of the 3rd guild merchant Pyotr Krivonosov. All documents are first introduced into scientific use. The author established new facts, and also revealed a discrepancy of some facts indicated in the famous work by I. Kiyashko (1911), dedicated to the history of the Kuban military orchestra and choir.

Representation of images of the Perm animalist style in the modern urban space

The article explores the prospects of representing Permian animalistic style images in the street spaces of the Ural cities. Creating an artistic image of the pedestrian streets of the city seems to be a socially significant activity addressed to local communities and focused on the cultural and cognitive interests of citizens. Currently, in the modern representation of animalistic style images in architecture, sculpture and urban design, the works of authors-creators are more likely focused on the phenomenal “core” (myths, legends, traditions) than historical facts. The author believes that the ideological and artistic basis of the design solution should be based on historical-eventual and philosophical-cultural contexts. To demonstrate the possible options, author’s project proposals were developed for their practical implementation in the urban environment of Perm.

The contradictory policies of soviet authority in the protection of cultural monuments in the 1920s in South of Russia

The article discusses the formation of a legislative basis for the protection of cultural monuments in the 1920s and their practical implementation in Kubani. Archival materials, first introduced into scientific circulation, allowed to reveal new aspects in scientific activity of professors V.A. Parkhomenko, G.G. Grigory, S.G. Ostroumov, architect A.P. Weitens and other devotees on protection of monuments of history and culture. Thanks to this, it was possible to analyze the policy of the Bolsheviks towards the monuments set by the former authorities and the creation of new monuments corresponding to the Bolshevik ideology. Contradictions in the activities of the Soviet authorities in this matter are shown.

Socio-cultural capital is the most important resource and source of changes in socio-cultural systems, including related socio-economic subsystems, which in the modern economy are manifested in the phenomenon of «cultural economy». As a resource for preserving and transforming social and cultural systems, social and cultural capital is implemented in the form of traditions and innovations. Zones of bifurcation of socio-cultural systems are manifested in peripheral areas of mass culture, which serve as a kind of membranes that adapt cross-cultural influences on mass socio-cultural practices, which can lead to both modernizing and archaizing processes in the development of socio-cultural systems and, consequently, the entire society.

Dell’arte comedy mask functions in opera «Pagliacci» by R. Leoncavallo

The article is devoted to the study of the artistic meanings of the drama of the opera “Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo. The objects of the study are the functions of the masks of the comedy dell’arte. It is proved that masks are understood by the composer in their late, aristocratic French style. In this context, the idea of opera is deepened, which is associated with understanding the contradictions of the old and new social reality. Payat’s life story is the litmus of the socio-psychological conflicts that have accompanied the restructuring of consciousness of most of the modern author of Italian society.

Psychological features of perception of choreographic work

Choreographic work is a special kind of art in which there is a direct perceptual interaction between the viewer and the dancer. In addition, this chain of interactions a special role is played by the Director of choreographic works, to invest its special meaning and the idea to dance and seeking the attainment of the idea of a viewer through the plastic ability of the dancers and the creation of special conditions for the perception of choreographic works. The article is devoted to consideration of psychological features of perception of choreographic work that assumes participation of the spectator as the subject of co-creation of the work of choreographic art created before his eyes. Perception is the most complex psycho-physiological phenomenon, in this article the psychological features allocated in it are considered. The concept of Trinity of the factors promoting the maximum coincidence of the ideas put in choreographic work with its most complete semantic perception by the spectator is proved.
