This article examines the texts of Adyghe mysteries with a view to identifying metaphors, porting toother denotation properties of objects or phenomena on the basis of the element, general or similar for both matched members. As a language feature metaphor deforms primary nomination facility (the name of the live value) and selects  a secondary nomination (the name of the figurative meaning).
