The sacral in modern culture: some approaches to the definition and the boundaries of understanding

The article examines the history of the concept of the sacral in the philosophy of religion and religious studies. It was revealed that there are two variants of sacral understanding in researches: 1) the sacral as an ontological phenomenon that reflects some supernatural reality manifested through representation; 2) the sacral as a construct that occurs within religious studies discourse or at the level of individual and collective representations.

The multifunctionality of a creative name

The article analyses aperformative paradigm in the modern theatrical art, which is topical due touncertain perception of performance in theatre context. The empirical base represents some Russian and foreign case studies.
